The objective of the 2009 International Biomass Conference & Trade Show is to act as a catalyst for the sustainable advancement of biomass utilization on a global scale.

Biomass is a renewable source of energy that is more sustainable than fossil fuels and more dependable than wind or solar. Its coproducts provide an environmentally friendly and safe alternative to common petrochemicals.

The 2009 International Biomass Conference & Trade Show will offer general sessions and workshops covering the latest technologies and business considerations for bioenergy projects.

Other attractions will include a world class trade show, two networking receptions, and an industry tour to Columbia Wastewater Treatment, Cornelius Summit Foods, and the Beaverton Material Recovery Facility.
