Airport

Their friendly drivers, comfortable vans and reasonable rates take the hassle out of getting to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). Reservations are not required for SuperShutttle shared ride or exclusive van service, but are recommended to assure your transportation is ready for you upon arrival. Taxi
Taxi service at Terminal 1-Lindbergh is accessible via the Tram Level (Level T). Signs direct passengers one level up to the taxi starter booth, where airport staff will assist passengers in obtaining a taxi.
At Terminal 2-Humphrey, taxi service is available at the Ground Transport Center, located on the ground level of the Purple parking ramp directly across from the terminal building.
Downtown Minneapolis is approximately 12 miles from the airport, with fares averaging $38-$49. The distance to downtown St. Paul is approximately 8 miles and fares average $30-$37.
A $6.75 fare will be displayed on the Taxicab meter at the onset of your trip. This fee includes a $2.50 flag drop and a $4.25 Airport access fee.
Downtown
Downtown Minneapolis is compact and easy to navigate. From the expansive public transportation system to the unique skyway system, you’ll find Minneapolis a joy to get around. Buses and taxis are readily available at the MCC, the airport, Mall of America and the hotels.
BusFree bus rides are available on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis and to and from the Minneapolis Convention Center (MCC). This gives you an easy way to go from one end of town to the other – for free! The free service on selected routes between Grant Street and Washington Avenue is offered on buses marked “Free Ride”.
Free-ride buses leave every 10 minutes on weekdays and every 15 to 30 minutes on weekends. Buses on Nicollet stop every other block between 5th and 13th Streets.
Other buses on Nicollet – and all within the Downtown Zone – charge 50¢.
Get a day’s worth of unlimited rides on buses and light rail with a Metro Transit Day Pass. They’re available at the Visitor Information Center at the MCC during regular hours.
Skyways
One of Minneapolis’ most unique assets is the skyway system. Linking most of downtown with above-ground climate-controlled walkways, the system will get you from the Minneapolis Convention Center to most spots in downtown Minneapolis without ever stepping outside.
